AMY'S BIRTH COACHING SERVICES EXPLAINED
For expectant women who would like to learn and practice the most important tools for a positive birth: breath, meditation and movement. We will hone the skill of deep breathing and train the mind to slow down and stay present. We will strengthen and condition the physical body for the hard work of labor and learn to relax and soften the body necessary for birth.
For couples who would like to learn the art of doula support for birthing their baby together. We will go over the different stages of labor, what to expect at each stage and how to know when active labor has begun. We will practice different hands on techniques and comfort measures to help alleviate physical discomfort as well as optimal birthing positions and different breathing patterns to make labor effective and efficient. We will explore the different options when creating your personal birth vision/plan and help make the right choices for you. We will also discuss creating an inviting birthing space and ways to make it feel personal and serene.
For new moms wanting support after their baby is born. We will address the emotional as well as physical demands of motherhood and practice various techniques to transitioning into this new role with ease. We will do yoga poses and exercises to relieve tension and regain strength in the body and the core. We will practice mindfulness and create a manageable regular meditation practice right for you. We will also discuss ways to find a rhythm within the household and set up a self-care routine that allows you to take care of you while still tending to your newborn’s needs.
