I travel often for work, leisure and family, yet the Santa Fe weekend stands out as one of my all-time favorite getaways. I met incredible people and came away feeling nourished, inspired and renewed. I look forward to joining another yoga retreat with Amy in the near future and recommend it for anyone looking for a transformative weekend.
I cannot say enough good things about Amy’s prenatal classes. I started attending at 8 weeks and have gone every week since. She is so knowledgeable about pregnancy and the yoga positions that can relieve pain, or even move the baby. She has the most calming voice and I always feel so relaxed. It is my favorite hour of the week!
The best decision I made in my pregnancy was hiring Amy as my Birth Doula. Not only did I feel completely supported in labor, but Amy was there throughout my entire pregnancy to answer questions, teach prenatal yoga classes and workshops and refer me to her amazing contacts for all of my pregnancy-related needs. During labor, Amy took incredible care of me. She was able to communicate my needs to my healthcare providers and suggest helpful tasks to my husband to get him involved. During contractions, Amy guided me to focus inward and connect with my body and breath. Practicing prenatal yoga with Amy throughout pregnancy let my body find comfort in the discomfort of labor and use by breath to guide me through even the most intense contractions and pushing. The birth of my daughter was the most empowering experience of my life and I have Amy to thank for all of the comfort and support that allowed me to achieve the natural childbirth I envisioned.
I always seek Amy’s classes and have been a dedicated student for years. She is thoughtful in ensuring you move with purpose and poise and always helpful with alignment and wonderful adjustments. Amy inspired me to take my practice further when I was a beginner and I personally credit her kind attention and guidance in my love of yoga. She is a special and seasoned teacher on many levels.
I was somewhat grudgingly introduced to Yoga - and I’m so thankful that Amy has been the one to guide me into it. Nearly a year in, and by the way I am in no way “good”, it has had a material affect on both my physical and mental health. Amy has a veterans instinct to balance what you think you need and what she knows you need. She’s like my old High School football coach, but with less yelling.
