Welcome. I am so glad you are here.
I care about your well being and want you to feel good from the inside out.
You deserve to feel a sense of peace in both your mind and body. I want to help you feel this way.
I didn’t always feel that way myself.
As a young adult, I felt broken both physically and emotionally, but a part of me knew deep down it didn't have to be this way. When I came across a book on meditation something resonated for me and I sought out a class to learn how to do it. It was through this daily practice that I started to feel a sense of peace in my life. My meditation practice led me the Himalayas of Nepal and it is there that I discovered yoga and fell in love. I loved the feeling of meditation in motion.
Yoga gave me a peaceful quality of mind and it also made me feel stronger, more flexible and confident physically.
I was never the kid that could do the splits, touch my toes or get into a backbend. In fact, I was the child that broke multiple bones doing the simplest activities. It took two years to figure out how to ride a bike.
Yoga created this profound change in me, in my relationship to my mind and body. One that emboldens me to help others achieve it for themselves as well.
A few years later, I got pregnant with my first child. And I learned how effective yoga was in not only making me feel better during pregnancy but how it helped me in the actual birth of my baby. Shortly thereafter I started to teach yoga to expectant mothers.
One day, I was approached by a student in one of my prenatal yoga classes and asked to attend her birth. I was deeply honored and accepted the invitation.
During her labor, we breathed, moved in different positions, and I led her through various guided meditations and visualizations. I helped her find the mental and physical strength necessary to birth her baby while staying calm and centered throughout it.
I was immediately struck by the similarities as to what I was teaching in my yoga classes and what we did in labor. That day she gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby and I gave birth to a new passion - helping women have the birth they want using a yogic approach.
I have combined my passions for meditation, mindfulness, yoga and birth support into yoga infused services that help people create an overall sense of happiness and wellbeing.
My goal with all my work is for you too to optimize your quality of life and feel a deep sense of contentment, ease and peace.
And I know, if I can do it, so can you.
I’d love to help you.
Love,
Amy
